Preview / A practical guide

Try one before the batch

A preview is a real processing run on the first selected file. It uses the current options and the credits shown on its button.

01

Choose a representative first file

The first item in Selected files is the preview input. Check your selected template, column changes and processing options before you start.

02

Run the preview

Open Customize columns and choose Preview first file. Wait for Sample ready, or use the result link to follow progress. A preview is unavailable with Strip only because that option does not extract fields.

03

Inspect the sample

Review the source filename, values, table cells and format warnings. Missing or ambiguous data is a reason to check the source, not evidence that the document has been fully understood.

04

Reuse or run more

For one selected file, Open preview result opens the same result without processing again. You can correct and export it. If you later parse a multi-file batch, all selected files are processed again under the normal batch estimate, including the previewed file.

Check your result

You're done when…

You understand whether the chosen columns fit before spending credits on a larger batch.

If something goes wrong

If the preview stops loading, follow its existing result link rather than submitting repeatedly. Changing files, options or column definitions invalidates the old preview. Saving the same previewed column setup as a template preserves that preview.
